Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tiffany Holdings LLC, doing business as Fillo ("Fillo," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of fillo.life, our waitlist, the Fillo app, the Fillo Autofill browser extension, and our email, text, and push messages (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Fillo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Fillo

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. What Fillo does, and does not do

Fillo matches you to scholarships based on your profile, reminds you before deadlines, and offers feedback on essays you write.

• We do not award scholarships. Scholarships are offered and decided by third-party providers. We are not affiliated with those providers unless we clearly say so.
• No guarantee of results. We do not guarantee that you will qualify for, be selected for, or win any scholarship.
• Verify the details. Scholarship details come from their providers and can change. Always confirm amounts, eligibility, and deadlines with the provider before applying.
• Your work is yours. Fillo does not write your essays, and you are responsible for everything you submit to a scholarship provider, including making sure it follows the provider's rules.
• Auto-apply. For no-essay scholarships, Fillo's auto-apply feature records the match as applied in your Fillo tracker and sends you the link; unless a message says otherwise, you finish the real application on the provider's site yourself.
• Autofill extension. The Fillo Autofill extension fills known profile fields on scholarship application pages. You review and submit everything yourself and are responsible for what is submitted.
• Reminders are a convenience. You are responsible for meeting every deadline, even if a reminder is late, missed, or not delivered.
• Fillo will never ask you to pay a fee to receive a scholarship. Be cautious of any provider that does.

3. Your account

Keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at info@fillo.life if you believe your account has been used without permission.

4. Subscriptions

Fillo is free to use for matching, reminders, and manual applying. Paid plans, with the prices shown on the Membership page, are billed through Stripe. You can manage or cancel a subscription from the Membership page. We will show you the price and terms before you are charged.

5. SMS Messaging Terms

Program: Fillo Scholarship Alerts. If you opt in, Fillo sends recurring automated text messages with scholarship deadline reminders, new-match alerts, and account alerts. Separately, if you add a phone number, Fillo texts you one-time login codes when you sign in.

• Consent: Opting in to text alerts is optional and is done by checking the box at sign-up or in your profile settings. Consent is not required to use Fillo or to buy anything.
• Frequency: Message frequency varies with your matches and deadlines.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
• Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation message and no further alerts unless you opt in again. You can also turn off text alerts in your profile.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message, or email info@fillo.life.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• You confirm you are the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide.

How we handle your phone number is described in our Privacy Policy, which includes that mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• give false information or create an account for someone else without permission;
• copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute scholarship listings or other Service content;
• use bots or automated tools to access the Service, other than features Fillo provides;
• interfere with, hack, or disrupt the Service or its security;
• use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.

We may suspend or close accounts used to abuse the Service or that violate these Terms.

7. Our content and your content

The Service, including its design, software, text, and logos, belongs to Fillo or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own scholarship search.

You keep ownership of the information, documents, and writing you provide. You allow us to use them to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party sites

Fillo links to scholarship providers and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or decisions. Your dealings with them are solely between you and them.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION OR ESSAY FEEDBACK IS COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR CURRENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, FILLO AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY, MISSED DEADLINE, OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Fillo from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

12. Ending your use

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing info@fillo.life. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 7 through 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at info@fillo.life and try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in or serving Newport News, Virginia, and you and Fillo consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you by email or through the Service. Continuing to use Fillo after a change takes effect means you accept it.

15. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Fillo about the Service. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
